Holly and I had a great experience with Jim and Kristen at Hillhurst Fix and Finish. They took my grandmother's mahogany desk which we thought was beyond repair, and restored it to a work of art! Jim repaired two of my family's old rattan porch chairs beautifully. The chairs have great sentimental value to me, but they had been falling apart. One was precariously leaning to the left, with many old nails jutting out. The other chair's back had separated from the arms. I had previously been told by a different person that it would only be possible to repair the chairs to the point that they would look better, but that it would not be possible for someone to sit in them. Jim took on my chairs as a project and brought them back to their former splendor. They are now sturdy and completely restored. My husband and I are thoroughly enjoying them again. I would highly recommend Hillhurst Fix and Finish to anyone who needs a furniture project completed professionally, timely and reasonably.

Jim refinished an antique dining room table beautifully. The color and finish are perfect. This table is the third piece of furniture he has done for me. The other pieces are painted not stained. They have held up beautifully in an active room. Jim responded to my request quickly, his fees are very fair, and the work is done in a reasonable length of time. This was the second time we have used Hillhurst and they continue to give A-1 service. Jim came to the house to look at a bureau that my wife inherited from her Grandmother.
